1. With the support of Tamil Nadu Government’s Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, we played a major role in conserving forest and coastal areas through cultural awareness programs, formation of village forest committees, training to forest staff and preparation of micro plan with Participatory Rural Appraisal programs.Cultural programmes based on Forest fire and man–animal conflict are the new ventures of Arumbugal cultural team.

  2. Additionally, we extend these activities to include training programs for staff trainees from the State and Central Academy for State Forest Service in Coimbatore.

  3. Working collaboratively with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department (under TBG PCCR), we facilitated the establishment of Eco Development Clubs, conducted Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercises, and provided training sessions on micro plan preparation for 13 Forest Division staff and NGOs operating in the Eastern Ghats.

  4.   5. Furthermore, we organize cultural awareness programs as part of the ‘ATMA’ project in collaboration with the Agricultural Department in Tirunelveli. We actively participate in spreading message on wheels cultural awareness against plastic usage through Yellow Bag initiatives, working alongside with the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board in Chennai.
